COLUMBUS -- A bill aggressively going after human traffickers remains on the fast track to reach Gov. John Kasich's desk, but its pace has slowed a bit.

House Bill 262, which passed the House unanimously Tuesday, had been expected on the Senate floor Thursday. The Senate Judiciary Committee, however, is now expected to consider amendments to it on Tuesday.

The bill attempts to reach out to victims of modern-day slavery, more aggressively prosecute those who force them to sell themselves, and punish those who hire them for sex.
