Obama coming to Cincinnati

Less than a week after leaving the battleground state, President Obama’s campaign announced he’ll be back in Ohio on Monday to contrast his tax policies with those of soon-to-be Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

The Democratic president is trying to make the case that preserving Bush era middle-class tax cuts for another year while allowing those for incomes over $250,000 a year to expire as scheduled at the end of the year would be fairer than Mr. Romney’s call of the cuts for everyone.

Mr. Romney has also proposed additional tax cuts, arguing that tax increases would discourage economic growth.

Details on the Cincinnati trip are pending. It will mark his 24th visit to the state since taking office and the eighth of this election year. Last week, Mr. Obama’s two-day bus tour of Ohio traversed northern Ohio from Maumee to the Youngstown area.
