Southwest Ohio teen killed in home-invasion robbery

FAIRFIELD, Ohio — Authorities say a southwestern Ohio teenager has been fatally shot in an apparent home-invasion robbery.

Police in Fairfield, north of Cincinnati, say 19-year-old Julian Slaven was killed late Saturday after two suspects entered his home and demanded money.

Fairfield police Officer Doug Day told the Dayton Daily News that the shooting apparently was not random. Slaven's mother and a family friend were at the home at the time and called 911.

Investigators were trying to determine how the suspects entered the house. They fled and are still being sought.
