Ex-coach expected to plead guilty over videos of nude boys in locker room

CANTON, Ohio — Prosecutors in northeast Ohio expect a guilty plea from a former high school basketball coach charged with videotaping nude boys in the locker room.

Assistant Stark County Prosecutor Chryssa Hartnett says the attorney for 46-year-old Scott Studer signaled the plans to plead guilty to an eight-count indictment.

She declined comment pending Wednesday's hearing.

Defense attorney James Haupt could not be reached for comment. A message was left at his office.

The pending guilty plea to illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance was first reported by The Repository in Canton.

Studer coached at Jackson High School near Canton. He was arrested after investigators searched his home and found nude images on a DVD, a computer and a flash drive.

Studer could face 64 years in prison.
