COLUMBUS  — An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper who was caught driving drunk while speeding at 102 mph has gotten her job back.

An arbitrator ruled that 40-year-old Tiffany Wilson's firing last March was “harsh” for a first time DUI offender with a spotless record as trooper. She was reinstated with back pay and now works out of the Delaware post near Columbus.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Wilson was fired a few weeks after her post lieutenant pulled her over on Interstate 71 going 102 mph. Her blood alcohol level was 0.16 percent, twice the legal limit for driving in Ohio. She was convicted of DUI.

The arbitrator ruled that Wilson must work under a “last chance” agreement for five years and can be fired for any work violation.
