Feds round up alleged gang members in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — Federal agents say they have rounded up 17 members of a violent gang called “Black Money Bloods,” some of them accused of selling drugs near Cincinnati playgrounds and schools.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that three alleged gang members are still on the loose. The others were arrested Friday.

Federal court records say the gang was storing or selling narcotics in “stash houses,” some near schools or playgrounds, in at least five Cincinnati communities.

The Feb. 20 indictments culminated a 13-month investigation by federal and local authorities.

All are charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine. That carries a sentence of at least 10 years in prison.
