CLEVELAND  — A heavily trafficked Ohio interstate remains closed in the Cleveland area as crews try to take apart a damaged pedestrian bridge overhead.

The Ohio Department of Transportation hopes crews working today will allow I-90 to be re-opened Monday morning. Crews began Saturday dismantling the unstable walkway over the interstate.

The interstate remained closed today in both directions, with motorists being rerouted

No serious injuries were reported Saturday morning when a dump truck with its bed raised hit the bridge. Part of the walkway was ripped away from its base.

Police are investigating why the driver had the dump truck's bed up.
