Ohio cancels Amber Alert for boy, 4

COLUMBUS  — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is canceling an overnight Amber Alert after a 4-year-old boy reportedly taken from a Columbus neighborhood by an armed man was returned to his family.

Police said early today that the child was returned, but the man who allegedly took him is still being sought. Police said the man is the boyfriend of the child’s mother.

The child was not believed to be harmed but is being taken to a hospital as a precaution. Police have not released details of how the child was returned.

The patrol said the suspect being sought is Anton Jones. He is believed to be driving a four-door 2000 Cadillac DeVille with Ohio license FDL7217.
