Northeast Ohio man charged with weekend killing of his 55-year-old grandmother

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police in northeastern Ohio say a 21-year-old man is being held in the slaying of his grandmother.

Officers in Cleveland Heights found the body of 55-year-old Jualene Green Winston Saturday after going to her house to check on her welfare. Her son told her at the scene that she had been assaulted.

The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer  reports that the grandson was taken into custody after a short foot chase. His name hasn’t been released, nor have details of the slaying.
