SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Deputies in western Ohio say a teen girl successfully fought off two masked home invaders who fled without taking anything.

Clark County Chief Deputy Carl Loney tells the Springfield News-Sun that the men invaded the home near Springfield Tuesday night not knowing anyone was home. The teen was accosted by the men, but she fought them off and they fled.

A neighbor said he saw the girl in the yard upset and crying with her clothes torn. The neighbor said the girl told him she kicked the men until she was able to get away.

Loney said the girl was taken to a hospital as a precaution. The men, who were dressed in black and wearing masks and gloves, are being sought.
