AKRON, Ohio — A three-day manhunt for a man accused of fatally stabbing two Ohio men has ended as police in Chicago have taken the suspect into custody.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that police arrested 19-year-old Robert Pitts Jr. Thursday night after he called the Akron Police Department and gave his location because he wanted to turn himself in. He is expected to return to Akron in the following days.

Authorities are charging Pitts with aggravated murder. They found the bodies of 53-year-old Bryan May and his son, 20-year-old Jeremy Putra, on Wednesday. Each was stabbed multiple times.

The newspaper reports that police and the victims’ relatives were having a difficult time figuring Pitt’s actions. Pitts was Putra’s longtime friend and had been living with the men for a few weeks.
