Ohio gas prices down again to start week

COLUMBUS — Gas prices in Ohio are again lower to start the work week — and Ohio motorists are still paying less than the national average.

The state average for a gallon of regular gas was $3.44 in today's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That’s 11 cents lower than last week — and it’s a drop of 20 cents in the past two weeks.

The Ohio price is 19 cents below the national average of $3.63, which is down 4 cents from the national average a week ago.

Analysts are still expecting price increases this summer as greater demand and other factors push up the price of crude oil and gasoline.
