GLOUSTER, Ohio — Authorities in southeastern Ohio believe they’ve found the body of a missing man in a cistern under his porch.

Police in Glouster in Athens County found the body Monday night. They haven’t made a positive identification yet, but they believe it’s 63-year-old Paul Roberts, who lived at the home and hasn’t been seen for about two weeks.

Police discovered his body during a search after neighbors reported that property had been removed from the house.

Police have arrested Roberts’ 40-year-old son and charged him with vandalism.

Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn tells The Athens Messenger that the body was wrapped, but he wouldn’t give details. An autopsy is scheduled for today, and the investigation continues.
