DAYTON — Authorities say an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in southwest Ohio led to the seizure of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of more than $1 million.

A statement from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says a new organized crime task force served warrants this week in Tipp City, New Carlisle and Huber Heights. DeWine says investigators confiscated large amounts of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine.

Authorities also seized hundreds of thousands of dollars and took four people into custody.

DeWine says the task force was developed to investigate upper-level drug organizations in Montgomery and Warren counties and surrounding areas.

The Miami Valley Bulk Smuggling Task Force has seized cash, guns and drugs and made 51 arrests since it started in September.
