LANCASTER, Ohio — At least three southeast Ohio firefighters have been hurt after their vehicle slid off the road as they responded to a call.
The Fairfield County sheriff’s office says there was an 8:33 a.m. report of an accident near Lancaster. Deputies say the fire vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole. Three injured firefighters were taken to a hospital for treatment. There was no word immediately on their conditions, but their injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Police say the winter weather with slick roads likely contributed to the accident.
