CHARDON, Ohio -- The families of three teens killed in a northeast Ohio school shooting have filed a personal injury lawsuit against the school and some of its administrators.

The filing Thursday comes on the second anniversary of the shooting and on the day that the father of one of the slain students was found dead at his home.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the death of 48-year-old Russell King Sr. An investigator says there were no signs of foul play.

A family member found him dead Thursday morning.

King was one of several people who filed the lawsuit against the Chardon school district east of Cleveland.

The school’s superintendent says that he can’t comment on the lawsuit and that the focus has been on supporting the school community on the shooting anniversary.
