Police: Teen fatally shoots 13-year-old Ohio boy
7/1/2014CINCINNATI — Cincinnati-area police say one 13-year-old boy is suspected of fatally shooting another in the head in an apparent accident at a home.
The injured boy was pronounced dead at a hospital after the shooting Monday afternoon in Green Township. Police determined the gun had been stolen from a different home and was brought to the victim’s house by the other teenager.
He was taken into custody on charges of reckless homicide and theft of a firearm. His first appearance in juvenile court was scheduled Tuesday.
The circumstances of the shooting weren’t clear, but family friends told local media that it appeared the boys were playing with the weapon and may not have known whether it was loaded.
