Former Monroe, Mich., resident Tracey McCall Roemer appears in tonight's episode of the WB series What I Like About You. Roemer, 26, a 1995 Monroe High School graduate who uses the name Tracey McCall, plays Tyhler, the next-door neighbor of Vince, who is portrayed by Nick Zano.

The show, which stars Amanda Bynes (What a Girl Wants, The Amanda Show) and Jennie Garth (Beverly Hills 90210), airs at

8:30 p.m. on WT05-TV, Buckeye CableSystem's Channel 5.

"I love everything about the entertainment business," said Roemer, who won a $10,000 modeling contract with a jeans manufacturer in 1995.

"Eventually, I want to book a lead part on a pilot series and then have a part in producing films. I love the audition process and anytime I get a job I'm reminded of why I love this business in the first place."

Roemer received a bachelor's degree in communications from Michigan State University in 1999. She lives in Los Angeles and makes a living doing commercials, including some for Taco Bell and Lowe's, and television pilots.

She is the daughter of Tom and Vickie Roemer of Monroe. Her sister, Molly, is a graduate of St. Ursula Academy in Toledo and is a senior at MSU.

Roemer's Tyhler character is also scheduled to appear in the Feb. 13 episode of What I Like About You.

She said she hopes her character gets a permanent role on the WB series.
