2 local bakers winners of TV's 'Cupcake Wars'

Cupcakes made by Lori Jacobs and Dana Iliev, owners of bakery Cake in a Cup on West Central Avenue, were winners in last night's episode of Cupcake Wars, a cooking competition show on the Food Network channel.

The pair competed against three other cupcake makers on the show, which pits bakers against each other in elimination rounds.

Tuesday night's episode was themed after the art of film director Tim Burton. Along with the publicity, the pair get $10,000 for winning the contest.

The Sylvania Township cupcake shop features an array of creative cupcakes, with names such as Monkey Business, Pretty in Pink, and Tropical Getaway.
