NBC's 'The Voice' narrowed to 6 competitors

NBC's The Voice has narrowed its field to six competitors as the competition bid farewell tonight to Dez Duron and Cody Belew.

In its third season, The Voice is a vocal competition in which musicians Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton serve as coaches. Viewers vote for their favorites, eventually deciding the winner.

With the loss of Duron, who unsuccessfully tried out for the show's first season, Team Christina lost its final competitor. Belew was a member of of Team Cee Lo.

With the latest eliminations, Levine, Shelton, and Green each have two performers remaining.

Also today, host Carson Daly announced that the top eight contestants each landed on the iTunes charts after Monday's performances. Cassadee Pope, Melanie Martinez, and Nicholas David each spend time in the top 10.

The next round of performances are at 8 p.m. Monday.
