Excited squeals and picture posing followed reality television personality Scott Disick everywhere he went in Josie Langsdorf’s Monclova Township home Tuesday night.

Mr. Disick, who appears on the E! network television show Keeping up with the Kardashians, visited Ms. Langsdorf for a few hours, fulfilling a wish on the terminal cancer patient’s bucket list.

“Does anybody have a camera phone?” joked Mr. Disick, as a couple dozen of Ms. Langsdorf’s family and friends crowded a kitchen table snapping pictures.

His short stop was prompted by a social media campaign launched in early January by Ms. Langsdorf’s daughter, Ashley. The teenager reached out to Mr. Disick on Twitter after her mother remarked she’d like to take a shot with him. That single Tweet snowballed into a social media blizzard and grabbed Mr. Disick’s attention.

He soon responded to the Twitter pleas.

“I don’t know how many requests you think I get. I wanted to do this, so I did it. That’s all,” he joked in a self-deprecating manner, his voice hard to hear above the celebratory din.

Ms. Langsdorf said meeting Mr. Disick was just one of many items on her bucket list, a wish list of things she wants to do before dying. When the 40-year-old nonsmoker was diagnosed with lung cancer two and a half years ago, she was told she likely had less than a year to live. She battled on, but the cancer has since spread.

She appreciates Mr. Disick’s not-so-serious approach to life. Welcoming to her quiet neighborhood the man who regularly attracts paparazzi and pop culture gossip illustrates “that truly, at the end of the day, you have to enjoy” each moment, she said.

Ms. Langsdorf, a mother of two, and Mr. Disick, a father of two known for his dapper attire and ready zingers, shared a drink at her kitchen table. Her outfit included strappy high heels and a big smile for the occasion. He wore a striped cardigan and sported a scruffy jawline.

He gave her a Rolex watch of his own, which she showed off on her tiny wrist, and brought with him a small crew who filmed the proceedings. The footage may appear on the reality show but not for several months, Ms. Langsdorf said. Mr. Disick is the longtime boyfriend of Kourtney Kardashian and appears on the Kardashian family’s many reality television programs.

Manuel Gonzales, Ms. Langsdorf’s brother, watched the festivities and saw the joy on his sister’s face.

“This is just to help her take [her] mind off of everything,” he said. “It’s the little things that help her through life.”

Even with the hubbub surrounding his visit, the star of the night’s gathering was Ms. Langsdorf, not the guy in the room signing autographs.

“She is absolutely the best person. She makes us better,” said her friend, Patti Halloran.
