Toledo meteorologist Bill Spencer has been on medical leave since early August

“Blizzard” Bill Spencer, the popular morning meteorologist at WTVG-TV, Channel 13, has been off the air since early August on medical leave, but should be back at the station soon.

“Bill Spencer remains on medical leave from 13abc,” said WTVG Executive News Director Brian Trauring. “Bill tells us he is feeling better and we are looking forward to his return. All of us at 13abc want to thank the many people who have wished him well during his time away.”

Trauring said a return date for Spencer is not certain, “but we are hopeful he will be back on the air approximately Oct. 1.”
