In an apparent attempt to merge Grand Theft with Need for Speed, 187 (the police code for homicide) is a game of extremes: violence, language, and more importantly - extremely mediocre gameplay.

With a hip-hopped mix of gangsta gunfire and high-speed road rage, 187 takes players through tough, urban streets while battling the Mexican mafia. The best part of the game is found in some of the alternate game modes - The Hit being my favorite.

My biggest problem with this game was the price - it would have been a bit easier to swallow if offered for $29.99 - it's just not quite of the $50 caliber.
