Web posting spurs speculation on Kindle
8/11/2012LOS ANGELES -- A deal Friday on the Kindle DX has sparked talk that Amazon Inc. could launch Kindle devices next week for back-to-school shopping season.
For its Deal of the Day, Amazon listed many of its own products, all related to its Kindle brand. Notably, Amazon listed its Kindle DX at $110 off the regular price.
Amazon also began listing Kindle Touch 3G as unavailable and offered 40 percent off some Kindles and Kindle accessories for Amazon Visa card holders.
Tech blog Gizmodo noted this behavior arises when products are set to launch.
