Apple sells 3 million of new iPad models
11/6/2012CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple Inc. said Monday it sold 3 million iPads of all kinds in the first three days the new Mini model was available.
The Mini, priced starting at $329 and one-third smaller than the full-size iPad, went on sale Friday, the same day as an updated iPad. It did not break out sales of the two models, but said it “practically sold out of iPad minis.”
The sales figure compares with 1.5 million iPads sold in the first three days after Apple launched the third generation of the tablet in March.
