Chinese group considers holding technology fair in Toledo

The people who stage a large technology fair in China every year will be in Toledo this week to see if the city would make a good site for a smaller version of their event.

The China Hi-Tech Fair is held annually in Shenzhen, China. A Toledo delegation that included Mayor Mike Bell attended the fair last November during a visit to China.

The Chinese group has previously held branch versions of its show in Hungary, Israel, and Belgium. Now it is considering North America and South America.

The representatives from China will meet the mayor and hold a press conference on Thursday before touring the Toledo Museum of Art and the University of Toledo campus.
