  • Outlook: First-place Western Michigan has won seven of its last eight games overall, while Toledo, tied for second with Ball State, has won six straight entering this key West Division showdown. The Broncos are attempting to go to 7-0 in MAC play for the first time in history, but Toledo has won four of the last five meetings and 33 of 44 overall. UT senior Tia Davis, named MAC West player of the week, shot 60 percent from the field and averaged 24.0 points and 7.0 rebounds last week in wins over Marshall and Kent State. For the season, she is averaging 18.7 points and 7.1 rebounds, both team highs. UT is 8-1 at home. Casey Rost leads WMU in scoring (19.8). The Broncos, 3-3 on the road, are minus oft-injured Kristin Koetsier, one of the top players in the conference. She hurt her left knee Jan. 16 and is expected to be out two to four weeks after having surgery last week to repair torn cartilage. The 6-3 junior had surgery on the same knee after her freshman season.
