DEKALB, Ill. The University of Toledo women s cross country team finished second Saturday at the Mid-American Conference championship meet.
UT freshman Dagmara Handzlik (17:29) and senior Ebba Stenback (17:31) finished second and third, respectively. Judit Kocsis (18:21) was 14th.
Akron won the title. Bowling Green was 10th out of 12 teams, led by Jamie Roflow, who finished eighth.
In the men s race, BG finished eighth and Toledo last among nine teams.
Eastern Michigan was the champion, and EMU s Corey Nowitzke of Monroe finished second overall.
