University of Toledo track star April Williams will compete at the USA Track and Field Championships this week in Indianapolis. Williams has a chance to qualify for the World Track and Field Championships if she finishes in the top three in either the long jump or triple jump.

Williams will compete in the triple jump tomorrow at 6:20 p.m. and the long jump Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Williams achieved All-American status in both the long jump and triple jump.

INGRAM GETS WORKOUT: Former UT basketball player Justin Ingram will participate in a pre-NBA draft workout for the Milwaukee Bucks today. The draft is June 28 in New York.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for Justin and it's a great reward for all the hard work he has put in," UT coach Stan Joplin said. "He represented our program in the best possible fashion throughout his entire career, and I know he'll be successful in whatever career path he chooses."

Ingram was named first-team All-Mid-American Conference as a senior, second-team All-MAC as a junior and was a MAC freshman of the year. Ingram helped the Rockets to two NIT appearances, one MAC regular-season title and two MAC West Division titles.

BG HALL ADDS SEVEN: The Bowling Green State University Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome seven new members Sept. 21. The class will be introduced at halftime of the Sept. 22 BG-Temple football game at Perry Stadium.

MEISTER ALL-AMERICAN: Davidson College freshman Kristen Meister, a Maumee Valley graduate, finished in 11th place in the NCAA high jump finals, earning All-American status at the 2007 NCAA Track and Field Championships June 8 in Sacramento.

Meister cleared 1.77 meters to finish tied for 11th. She became the school's first track All-American.

Meister, who became just the second Davidson woman to qualify for the NCAA track championships, concludes an impressive rookie campaign with a pair of Southern Conference titles and conference and school records.
