Rockets' Church earns third All-MAC honor

Junior safety Barry Church of Pittsburgh, Pa., was selected to the first-team All Mid-American Conference for the third consecutive year, the MAC announced Wednesday.

Church recorded 93 tackles, one interception, forced three fumbles and had six pass break-ups. He is on the watch lists for the Jim Thorpe Award (best defensive back) and the Bronco Nagurski (best defensive player).

Other Rockets named to the MAC second team were wide receivers Nick Moore, Westerville and junior Stephen Williams, Houston. Junior running back DaJuane Collins, Westville, N.J., was selected to the third team.
