The University of Toledo women s basketball team improved to 10-1 at home, beating Western Michigan 64-49 Saturday at Savage Arena.
Junior Allie Clifton led the Rockets with 19 points and seven rebounds. UT improved to 15-10 and 9-3 in the Mid-American Conference.
UT jumped out to a 20-4 lead to start the game and led by 12 at the half. The Broncos came no closer than nine points in the second half.
UT, featuring the MAC s top defense in conference games, forced the Broncos into 18 turnovers and held leading scorer Tiera DeLaHoussaye without a point.
Lisa Johnson added 11 points for the Rockets and Courtney Ingersoll had 10.
