UT falls to Buffalo

BUFFALO – The University of Toledo fell behind 7-0 to start the game and never managed to overcome that early deficit in a 72-54 loss to Buffalo in the opening round of the Mid-American Conference tournament Sunday at Alumni Arena.

Justin Anyijong led the Rockets (4-28) with 14 points, Jake Barnett had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Malcolm Griffin chipped in with 12 points.

Max Boudreau scored 14 of his game-high 18 points in the second half to pace the Bulls (18-11).
