The University of Toledo women's basketball team won't end its season with a loss to archrival Bowling Green in the Mid-American Conference tournament championship game.
The Rockets (24-8) accepted a bid Monday night to participate in the Women's National Invitation Tournament and will host Pittsburgh in a first-round matchup Friday.
All game times for the 64-team, single-elimination tournament will be announced Tuesday.
UT received an automatic invitation by virtue of being the top team in the MAC not to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament.
The WNIT culminates April 3 with the championship game.
