Tricia Cullop has secured her third commitment to the University of Toledo women's basketball team's 2011 recruiting class.

Ana Capotosto, who will be a senior at Saugatuck (Mich.) High, gave Cullop a verbal commitment two weeks ago.

"When the recruiting process started last fall, I knew nothing about Toledo," Capotosto said Thursday. "I went and watched the MAC tournament last winter and really liked how they played. I contacted coach Cullop and the first time we talked on the phone it was like an hour-long conversation. I just always got a good vibe from everybody at Toledo and it just felt right."

Capotosto, a 5-foot-10 guard, joins Pandora-Gilboa's Stephanie Recker, a 6-0 guard, and Brittany Carver, a 6-1 forward from Woodburn, Ind., as future Rockets who will join the team for the 2011-12 season.

Illinois transfer and former Central Catholic standout Brianna Jones, a 6-2 forward, will also be eligible for UT in 2011-12 after sitting out the upcoming season because of NCAA rules.

Cullop is not permitted to comment on incoming recruits until they sign a national letter of intent. This class can officially sign with UT in November.

Capotosto averaged 20.1 points per game last season and earned Class C All-Michigan first-team honors. She also posted 9.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while helping lead Saugatuck to a 16-6 record.

"She's very versatile," Saugatuck coach John Green said. "She's my best rebounder, my best post defender, along with being a real good ballhandler and good shooter."

Capotosto also had scholarship offers from Kent State and Eastern Michigan, Green said.
