Findlay's Niswander commits to UT
3/1/2012Findlay junior linebacker Austin Niswander is the first member of the University of Toledo's 2013 football recruiting class.
Niswander committed Tuesday to coach Matt Campbell, just one day after UT extended him a scholarship offer.
An All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference second-team selection at wide receiver, Niswander is expected to play linebacker at UT. Niswander (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) was drawn to UT because of its facilities and coaches.
"They're young, they're energetic," Niswander said of the staff. "I feel like they can bring a MAC championship very soon to Toledo."
Campbell cannot comment on unsigned recruits, per NCAA rules.
