UT extends announcing starting quarterback

Anticipation to learn of University of Toledo's starting quarterback will extend one more day.

Coach Matt Campbell declined to announce the starter Wednesday after practice --- his stated deadline to reveal whom will take the first snap with the offense in the season opener. The announcement is now expected to come Thursday. Campbell did however say Terrance Owens and Austin Dantin will split the first four series of the game, with each getting two. The hotter of the two quarterbacks will likely have the upper hand the rest of the way.

No longer unsettled is the cornerbacks battle. Chris Dukes and Cheatham Norrils will make their first career starts, Campbell said.
