AMHERST, N.Y. --- It wasn't pretty, but Toledo won its eighth straight Saturday, 25-20, at Buffalo.

UT's Jayrone Elliott sacked UB quarterback Joe Licata and forced a fumble with under two minutes to go. UT's Colby Kratch recovered, and the Rockets offense took two knees to win the game.

UB cut the lead to 25-20 on the second play of the fourth quarter when back up quarterback Licata found Alex Neutz in the end zone for eight yards. UT snuffed out the ensuing two-point conversion.

THIRD QUARTER

Toledo's sleepy offense has come to life and the Rockets now lead 25-14.

Toledo scored three touchdowns in the frame --- two on runs by David Fluellen --- but missed the extra point every time. Two were blocked and another sailed wide..

True freshman tight end Alex Zmolik scored the other touchdown when he hauled in a 7-yard pass in the end zone from Terrance Owens.
