Owens, Fluellen practiced, expected to play for University of Toledo Saturday

BOISE --- Quarterback Terrance Owens and running back David Fluellen participated in today's practice and are expected to play Saturday when the University of Toledo takes on No. 18 Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

"It was good to have them both out," coach Matt Campbell said. Both of those guys did a great job today, so it looks like they'll be able to go. We'll continue to monitor them throughout the week and see where they are stamina wise."

Owens and Fluellen missed Toledo's final regular season game against Akron with ankle injuries.

Campbell said reserve defensive end Allen Covington is out with an undisclosed injury.
