UT sophomore guard AJ Mathew leaves program
12/11/2012Junior center Delino Dear has left the University of Toledo basketball team, marking the second defection of the Rockets in the past two days.
Dear played in two games, totaling three minutes. His departure comes hours after sophomore guard AJ Mathew informed coach Tod Kowalczyk of his desire to transfer.
Mathew, of Ypsilanti, Mich., appeared in all but one of the team's nine games, averaging 4.6 minutes and 0.5 points.
He appeared in 31 contests last season, averaging 0.5 points.
