Rockets rally to win over Marquette

Women stretch winning streak to 7

MILWAUKEE -- The University of Toledo women's basketball team ran its winning streak to seven in a row by outscoring Marquette 50-29 in the second half to post an 82-71 come-from-behind victory Saturday night.

Junior guard Angela Dortch lead the Rockets scoring parade with a season-high 24 points while senior Naama Shafir chipped in with 17 points and junior Brianna Jones and sophomore Inma Zanoguera added 11 points apiece.

Toledo (8-1) rallied from a 15-point deficit in the second half as Marquette (4-5) controlled the action. Thanks to a 19-4 run in the second half, the Rockets tied the game at 51 with a little more than 13 minutes to play by shooting 61 percent from the field in the second half.

The Rockets return home to host the inaugural Toledo Invite on Thursday, Dec. 20 when they take on Evansville. The other game in the invite will pit Prairie View A&M against Hampton.The title game will be played on Friday
