University of Toledo's Naama Shafir named MAC West player of week

University of Toledo guard Naama Shafir was tabbed as the Mid-American Conference West player of the week by the league office today.

Shafir’s selection marks the seventh time this season that a Rocket has been picked as the division’s top performer, tied for most in the league with Central Michigan and Miami.

The three-time All-MAC selection poured in a team-high 27.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, a team-tying best 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in victories against division members Northern Illinois and Central Michigan.
