University of Toledo's Rian Pearson was named to the Mid-American Conference first team today, becoming the first Rocket to earn that honor in six years.

Pearson, a second-team pick last year, ranked second in the league with 17.9 points per game.

Toledo's Julius Brown was named third team, and the Rockets' Nathan Boothe landed on the freshman team.

For Bowling Green State University, A'uston Calhoun was second team and Jordon Crawford was honorable mention.

Joining Pearson on the first team were Ohio's D.J. Cooper, Akron's Zeke Marshall, Kent State's Chris Evans, and Buffalo's Javon McCrea.
