UT's Reese Holiday rips down a rebound.

Junior forward Reese Holliday is leaving the University of Toledo men’s basketball program to attend to personal matters back home in Kansas City, Kan., the school announced today.

A three-year letterwinner for the Rockets, Holliday averaged 7.8 ppg and 4.6 rpg this season.

“I enjoyed playing in front of our great fans and the community support we received was something I’ll never forget,” Holliday said in a statement. “My three years as a Rocket was a great experience with a lot of ups and downs - from winning four games my first season to being West Division champions this year. Some of the best memories of my life came in Toledo.”

Coach Tod Kowalczyk said “I’m very appreciative of Reese’s contributions and how he helped build our program from the ground up. Reese is one of the toughest players I’ve ever coached, and I wish him all the best in the future.”

Holliday averaged 7.1 ppg and 5.8 rpg as a sophomore. As a freshman he started 21 games and led UT in scoring with 10.5 ppg and contributed 6.6 rpg.
