UT women will not play in NCAA tournament
3/21/2013The University of Toledo women's basketball team did not receive an invitation to the NCAA tournament.
The Rockets (27-3), who did not hear their name called tonight on the tournament selection show, will instead go to the Women's National Invitational Tournament. Their first round opponent will be announced later tonight.
Central Michigan, which beat Toledo on Friday in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament, is the No. 11 seed in the Oklahoma City region and will face Oklahoma on Saturday in Columbus.
