UT assistant basketball coach Pedon leaving for Illinois

UT men's basketball assistant coach Ryan Pedon

University of Toledo men's basketball assistant Ryan Pedon is leaving to coach at Illinois.

Pedon, who spent the past three seasons with the Rockets, will be special assistant to Illini coach John Groce.

Pedon, a native of the Columbus area, served as Toledo's offensive coordinator and recruited the state of Ohio.
