The University of Toledo’s men’s basketball team is on an 11-day trip to Greece. Justin Drummond, a junior guard, will provide daily updates of the team’s experience.

Our boat ride today to Super Paradise Beach was a little bit longer today than yesterday. We went past some different rock formations in the water that were interesting to see. The waves were bigger and the water was very choppy. That made some of the guys on our boat a little nervous.

I had some Greek-style chicken for lunch but I’m not exactly sure what the name of it was. I’ve had a lot of gyros here so I wanted to try something different.

Today was a more relaxing day for us because we’ve been very active our first five days in Greece. We rested up a little bit and now we’re looking forward to snorkeling tomorrow.

The last time I went snorkeling I got scared. I was in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands with my family. I had to get used to it because seeing all the fish surrounding me in the water was frightening.

This trip is really helping everyone on our team get to know each other better and will be a big plus for us once we start our practices in October.
