UT's Fluellen unlikely to play against Akron

A ref is knocked to the ground as UT's David Fluellen is chased by Navy's Lonnie Richardson during an October game at the Glass Bowl.

Injured University of Toledo running back David Fluellen is unlikely to play Friday in the regular season finale at Akron, he said today.

Fluellen, the team's leading rusher, revealed he is dealing with an ankle injury. Previous details regarding the nature of the injury were unclear.

Coach Matt Campbell said the senior Fluellen could be back for a late bowl game.

Another running back, Damion Jones-Moore, may not play either. Jones-Moore sustained a concussion in each of the past two games.
