It is only two games into the season, but it’s never too early to dive into some stats. The level of competition has varied for each Mid-American Conference team, but let’s look at where Toledo stands in certain areas:

1) Offensive fireworks: Toledo leads the conference so far in scoring offense at 42.0 points per game and is second in total offense (behind Central Michigan) at 489.5 yards per game.

2) Rushing game is strong: Toledo is averaging 216.3 rushing yards per game. The Rockets also have the most rushing attempts at 101. Shakif Seymour topped the 100-yard mark against Elon and Terry Swanson did the same against Nevada.

3) Passing game healthy as well: Toledo ranks second in passing yards per game at 273 and is also second in the conference in pass efficiency at 145.0.

4) Strong defensive showing: UT is third in scoring defense at 18.5 points per game; third in total defense at 280.5 yards per game; third in rushing defense at 118.5 yards per game; and second in passing defense at 273.0 yards per game.
