Ex-Long Beach defensman joins Storm

The Toledo Storm has added a defenseman with seven years of experience in professional hockey.

Dan Watson has skated for nine clubs, including stints with three American Hockey League teams.

Watson played the last two seasons with the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL. He tallied 20 points (6 G, 14 A) in 86 games.

Watson, 6-2 and 220 pounds, accumulated 114 penalty minutes in the 2004-05 season with Long Beach.

The native of Glencoe, Ont., also spent six seasons in the AHL with Syracuse, Cleveland, and Providence.
