BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Toledo Storm suffered its third consecutive loss late Wednesday, dropping a 5-3 decision to the Bakersfield Condors.
For the third straight game Toledo jumped on top 1-0, this time on a power play goal by Evan McGrath.
Former Storm forward Sean Venedam knotted the score 1-1 for Bakersfield.
Bruce Mulherin put the Storm back on top at 11:51 of the second period with his fourth goal of the season. It was unassisted. But at 17:19, Rane Carnegie netted a rebound on a power play to tie the score at 2.
The Condors put 20 shots on goal in the second period.
At 2:20 of the third Andrew Ianeiro put the Condors on top for the first time when he scored on a 2-on-1 break.
The Storm tied it at 3 at 15:53 when Chris Blight scored on the power play.
But Tyler Scott scored the winner for the Condors at 18:45.
The Storm (23-20-1) finished 1-3 on the trip west. Bakersfield is 27-12-5.
Storm goaltender Ervins Mustukovs stopped 48 shots. Jamie Hodson made 29 saves for Bakersfield.
